Providing The Right Tools For Affiliates
One important part of managing affiliate programs is providing the right tools to make affiliates more efficient and more productive with less stress. At the end of this post are a few questions to help us understand your process.
New tools pop up constantly and some affiliates (and merchants) are early adapters. We can look to them for reviews and advice, but we also need to remember this: By the time we implement a new process and tweak the bells and whistles to automate our workflow, the early birds will have already moved on to the next new thing.
Some basic business building actions stick around because they work. Example? Data feeds! Many of the new ideas we see are built on the idea of making data feeds useful for everyone, not just the experts.
Office productivity tools have been around as long as we’ve had computers, but the innovations in file formats, macro building, presentation sharing and even just editing can make your head spin! Managers can go a long way towards increased productivity by sharing techniques and answering questions.
It’s important that affiliates spend their time building traffic and creating quality content, not struggling with daily upkeep.
Merchants and Account Managers can go over the list of possible tools and talk about changes to policies or products that might change the way affiliate information is distributed.
Is it time to add a Daily Deal calendar? Should we be working more closely with a service like PopShops, GoldenCan or Datafeedr?
Do we need tutorials or webinars to make something more useful?

We have a new team in the lead: Balzy’s Bouncers with a 7 point lead over 2nd place. And to add some overall tension to the standings, we have 2 teams tied for 9th and 3 teams tied for 11th place, which is why we went ahead and listed more than the Top Ten!

The Magic Hippos fell again, landing in 6th position this week, but The Mighty Pux continue to reign in the top spot, even though the point spread is narrowing.
Mighty Rabid Badgers and Minus 1 hold their own, while Trudy and Team USI did some climbing this week!
Always Bet On Wings is a no show in the Top 10 and Not Again makes an appearance.

Snow Consulting Hockey Pool Standings
This week’s Snow Consulting Hockey Pool Standings show a few upsets. Several teams traded places and two new teams show up in this week’s Top 10.
Last week, there was a ten point spread between Magic Hippos and Mighty Rabid Badgers.
This week, they’ve changed places in line and there’s only a 2 point difference in their scores! It’s heating up!
The Mighty Pux are hanging on to 1st place with a healthy 40+ edge over 2nd place.
Trudy and Minus 1 have traded places in the 4th and 5th rows and narrowed the point range!
Team USI moved up 2 places, from 8th to 6th and GoBosChamps fell down 1 from 6th to 7th.
AZ Islanders and Samsonite appeared in the Top 10 this week, at 8th and 10th respectively.
Always Bet On Wings has fallen further from former glory at the top, now resting in 9th place after a fall from 7th.
Missing from the Top 10 this week are Not Again and Phyting Physicist. Will they make it back? Who will they displace?
